Bloodborne Pathogens Safety Class

The newest version of MEDIC FIRST AID’s Bloodborne Pathogens in the Workplace is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge necessary to help reduce or eliminate the occupational risk of bloodborne pathogens. The training program teaches the information every employee who has occupational exposure needs to know to avoid accidental exposure to potentially infectious materials and to manage an accidental exposure if one occurs. Per Washington State WAC code 296-823 Blood Borne Pathogens Training is required at the time of hire or assignment to a position with exposure, and annually thereafter.

Each WLA member business receives four free class registrations per year. Choose classes from the schedule below or let Approach Management Services customize classes for you and your staff. Program members can arrange to have sessions conducted on-site, and all classes can be conducted in Spanish or English. Injured workers from a business enrolled in WLA’s Workers’ Comp Safety & Savings Program may attend all classes free of charge. View the range of classes at SmartWA.org.
